Hail, hail, rock and roll, deliver me from days of old. - Chuck Berry

miss|you
I don't like highschool.
Not even a little bit.
I'm sick of the petty problems that flaunt throughout the hallways. It almost seems contagious.
I'm sick of the "little brains".
If I
have to hear ONE more story about casual weekend sex...I will explode.
or if I
have to hear ONE more person use the "N" word...I just might have to hit him and call him a
HONKIE.
or another teacher at some kids' throat about their math homework...TEACHERS, we have a life! Be sensitive!
I'm so ready to be out of here.
Today has been one of those days. I felt like I was floating through the clouds of hell or something.
On a lighter but much more
un-interesting note,...I am playing with the idea of joining the National Guard before college.
This is where, I will be a dork and post a list of the benefits of being in the National Guard.
- Over $30,000 for college.
- Over $35,000 for 6 year enlistment.
- Starting pay per weekend drill (once a month) is $140 (E-1), $172 (E-2), $180 (E-3).
- You can attend up to 9 drills before Basic and get paid. (1,224)
- $3,000 enlistment bonus just for joining! ($900/$600/$600/$900)
- $4,000 while attending Basic (2 months) and Advance Training (2 months). ($1000 per month)
- $9,936 for College or Vo-Tech from G.I. Bill ($276. per month)
- Up to $200 per semester hour using the Federal TA Program. ($4000 per year)
- $7,700 for first year of college.
- Receive College Credit hours for Military Training. (9-12 hours)
- Free Military Clothing.
- Free Car Tags for your vehicle.
- And of course, serving our country, state and community!
Evidentally, I can start now...at 17. I could go to basic training this summer and begin duty as a senior and get money!
It's an idea.
Whadd'ya think? Do I look ARMY enough?
